Recipe Review: Cinderella Pumpkin Bowl with Veggie & Sausage Soup

As promised I am giving a review on the Cinderella Pumpkin Bowl with Vegetable & Sausage Soup. Overall this was a good soup and a neat idea! However, my family was not a huge fan of the soup as it was mainly vegetables (parsnips, red pepper, green pepper, carrots, parsley, onion, broccoli, zucchini). If I was to make it again I think I would add more meat and cut back to just a few types of vegetables, I think I would also add some rice or barley. The other change I would make is to use several small pumpkins as one of the comments on the recipe suggested instead of the large Cinderella pumpkin. Menu Plan Monday 10-24-10

It’s Monday!!! I don’t know about you but in my life the weeks are flying by! It is hard to believe that we are already almost at the end of October and that Halloween is only days away!

As far as menu planning goes I am pretty proud of myself as we have been doing pretty good at sticking with my menu’s. This week looks as if it will be somewhat laid back. We will have a couple evenings out of the house but hopefully with either slow cooking  during the day or using freezer meals we will get through those days smoothly.

Our Menu for this week is:

Monday: Cereal, juice / Caesar Salad with Chicken / Chili & Cornbread

Tuesday: Toast, fruit / Freezer Dinner

Wednesday: Oatmeal, Fruit / Open Faced Sandwiches, Fruit / Whole Chicken,
