Paleo Pizza Bites

By Kira On July 20, 2011 Under recipe review

While menu planning for this week I came across this recipe. Now my family LOVES pizza especially homemade pizza so this seemed like a fun alternative to the pizza crust version :D . I used this recipe and then picked out our families favorite toppings…Pineapple, ham, olives all cut into mini size pieces.

For fun Paleo Pizza Bites you will need:

Pepperoni – I would recommend looking around to find some larger pepperoni slices. We had some packages of your typical pizza topping pepperoni in the freezer so we used it but they were literally bite sized (maybe even half a bit size) and in order to feel like you got a pizza serving you needed 20 or so of them (at least!!)

Pizza Sauce

Your favorite toppings

Cheese

What to do:

To start we baked the pepperoni on a cookie sheet at 400 for about  8 minutes (you may want to flip once) to crisp it up a bit as this was our pizza crust.

Once the pepperoni was ready we placed the pepperoni on individual baking pans (one pan per person) and started adding toppings :D

First we added a dab of pizza sauce to each piece

Then some Cheese…followed by Ham (I LOVE Hawaiian pizza)

And of course you can’t forget the pineapple!

Once we had added all our toppings we popped each pan back in the oven for about 5minutes just to melt the cheese and warm everything up

And the finished product all the greatness of pizza without the crust!!!

We LOVED this recipe and will definitely be adding it to our favorites list :D BUT…Next time I will be using bigger pieces of pepperoni or maybe a green pepper cut into squares or some large mushrooms for the crust!!!

Wow, this looks really delicious and it sound really easy to make them. Your explanation is very simple and it is easy to follow. The pictures you have used not only make it easy for the reader to follow the steps but also tempt them to make Paleo Pizza Bites. Thanks

Looks delicious, hmmm yummy! I love pizzas, it looks that it is easy to make but I have no talent in cooking I maybe buy at the pizzas corner here and eat some. I wish I could cook my own food (sigh).
