Menu Plan Monday

By Kira On October 24, 2011 Under menu plan

As I was writing out  my menu plans for the week I got thinking about what other people use to write out their menu plans…do you use note paper, a dry erase board, magnetic note pad, etc? In the past I have used magnetic note pads that had the days of the week already divided and all I needed to do was add in my meals for each day. The particular note pads I used came with 52 sheets and I would just attach it to the fridge where it was convenient to look at each day. This system also worked well for me when I was doing daycare as I could save the weekly sheets as records for my food program of my meals served to the daycare kids. However I ran out of my last note pad this week and decided as I no longer need records of my menus I would try using my menu boards I had made a year or so ago. If you want to see more about making your own menu board check out this post. Here is a photo of my menu for the week written with a wet erase marker on my menu board :-).

Our theme for the week is cheap and easy while maintaining healthy eating…you will find some paleo friendly meals but most are more of a whole foods theme. With that said here we go…

Sunday – We had Chinese Chicken and Cabbage Stir-fry  one of my favorite recipes from over at WellnessMama.com. Here is a photo of my Chinese Chicken and Cabbage Stir-fry :-)

Monday – We had Steak, Acorn Squash and Green Beans…Sorry meant to take a picture but it was soooo good I forgot to take it prior to the meal being devoured

Tuesday – We will be having Potato Soup…this is a quick and easy meal for one of our busy days!

Wednesday – Bean Soup…another easy recipe for a busy day

Thursday – Lentil Casserole

Friday – Leftovers or Chicken Taco Soup…depending on if we have enough leftovers or not

Saturday – we will be planning based on what we get out of our produce basket from Bountiful Baskets
