Edible Play Dough

By Kira On January 13, 2011 Under Craft

So during my blog reading yesterday I came across this recipe and just had to try it out!! It seems that I am constantly having to tell the kids not to eat play dough (and why you would want to eat the store bought play dough is beyond me!!) so this seemed like a AWESOME solution…Edible Play Dough!! My Kids all Loved this yummy tasting fun to play with dough!!

No bake edible Play Dough!!

1/2 Cup Light corn syrup
3/4 Cup Peanut butter
1/2 Cup Soft margarine
1/2 tsp. Salt
1 tsp. Vanilla
1 Cup Sugar
1 Cup Flour
Add food color if desired
Mix all the ingredients and knead into individual balls

This made 4 large balls of play dough but could be split into even 6 – 8 smaller balls easily.

I also found that I needed to add extra flour and knead the dough some in order to make it more of a play dough consistency as it was a bit sticky with just the 1 cup of flour.

(Thanks, The Coupon Posse’ for yet another great idea!!)
